Cass Martin – LeanBulking’s Wiki Profile
Starting out in Cosmetology School & Construction
While Cass Martin can now focus full-time on her career in the fitness industry, not many people will know where she started out.
Cass attended Cosmetology School to learn about hair and makeup. However, it wasn’t long until she realized that cosmetology wasn’t the path that she wanted to go down.
Ultimately, this led to her asking her boyfriend about construction as she was interested in learning more about tiling roofs and how to build a house.; Hunter Martin had been raised in a family that worked in construction for decades, so he was the perfect man to show her the ropes.
As a result, Cass Martin began working in construction alongside her long-term boyfriend.
While construction certainly isn’t a profession where most female fitness models start out, it shows where Cass Martin’s hard-working ethic comes from, which she has since become synonymous with.
This is proven by the fact Hunter states that Cass is the ‘hardest worker’ that he was worked with in construction.
What Inspired Cass Martin to Begin Lifting Weights?
Cass Martin became intrigued with fitness after seeing one of the early female icons, Jamie Eason, on the cover of magazines in stores. She was fascinated by her lean figure and wanted to achieve something similar herself.
Her boyfriend was a big fan of bodybuilding and had been lifting weights for a number of years; he provided the necessary motivation to push Cass Martin into the gym. It also helped that she knew some IFBB Pros and knew that weightlifting was the key to unlocking the figure she wanted.
After attending a Mr Olympia show with her boyfriend, Hunter Martin, Cass had made her decision to devote time to sculpting a strong physique.
Her Biggest Inspiration: Ronnie Coleman
Many people first found out about Cass Martin on social media. But before she even posted her first picture on Instagram, she had been working hard to develop her figure in the gym.
As with anyone, Cass struggled at first. She wasn’t naturally strong; she could only perform a few reps on the bench press in her first few weeks.
However, she didn’t give up. After slowly increasing the weights on the bar by 5 lbs or 10 lbs, after 1 year of working out in the gym, Cass finally started to see results.
It wasn’t long until Cass had finally started to really enjoy her progress.
She began following her biggest inspiration, Ronnie Coleman, watching videos of his workouts before going to bed and drawing motivation from his work ethic; she was amazed by how Ronnie could lift tons of weight while still looking aesthetic and lean.
Here is what Cass Martin said about Ronnie Coleman: “He lifts for aesthetics as well and I think it’s a mixture of that and that is why we train the way we do. It’s off of what his style is.”
Gaining Millions of Fans on Social Media
After several years of training, lifting weights 6 times a week, Cass Martin finally sculpted a figure that she was proud of. As a result, she posted her first video on social media of herself; this consisted of T-bar back rows – which still remains one of her favorite exercises.
At first, the video had no exposure as she had no followers. However, after adding hashtags to her video, Cass Martin experienced a sudden surge in popularity; she was found by the bodybuilding community who were extremely impressed by her incredible figure.
Ultimately, this led to Cass Martin building a strong fanbase and posting more pictures and videos. A few years later, she had officially become a fitness sensation.
Speaking to Bodybuilding.com, Cass Martin stated: “I had no followers. I didn’t even … I don’t even know if I followed anyone. I just put it up, it took like two weeks to get a couple of views or whatever. I think I hash tagged two things and then after that people were like, “Oh, my god!” Just like off that one picture.”
Creating a Supplement Company
After sharing her fitness journey with the online bodybuilding community, Cass Martin became a source of inspiration for millions of females around the world. She had proven that women could be ‘strong and sexy’ with arms bigger than most guys.
In order to help her fans reach their goals, Cass founded a supplement company called WrkEthic. We’ve actually reviewed their pre-workout called Hard Work and you can see that this company has the best intentions; we’re hoping for more supplements and we believe that in the future, WrkEthic will release a product that will compete with the best on the market.
While WrkEthic isn’t quite a household name yet, with Cass Martin as the driving force, we have no doubt that it will be a huge success.
With Ronnie Coleman as Cass and Hunter Martins’ main source of inspiration, it was always inevitable that they would both want to lift heavy *ss weights.
But as Cass still desired to further develop her figure and still look very aesthetic, she didn’t want to commit to becoming a complete powerlifter. And, with respect to powerlifters, she knew that she didn’t want to lift simply to gain strength and not for aesthetics.
As a result, Cass formed her own term – ‘power building’. She stated that this was lifting heavy weights, while still focusing on building lean muscle mass and improving the appearance of her body.
On the topic of ‘power building’, Cass said: “I guess I feel now we’re kind of switching it to “powerbuilder.” Because we like to lift heavy and stuff. We just like to go to the gym and workout basically. Just like everyone else who’s there.
Cass Martin Workout Routine
One thing that many of you are interested in is how your favorite fitness models and bodybuilders train in the gym. So, we thought that we would do some research into how Cass Martin’s workout routine.
In interviews, Cass Martin has stated that she likes to train one body part per day. The exception for this is legs; Cass has said that she wants to develop her legs, so she targets them twice per week.
This makes sense, as most of her training videos on Instagram show her performing exercises targeting the same muscle in different ways; an example of this is Cass Martin performing Bulgarian Split Squats and Front Squats in the same video.
But like all of us who lift weights in the gym, Cass is always changing things up. She’s mentioned that she’ll target body parts more if she feels that she wants to develop them more. We personally understand this, as we have trained our upper chest more when wanting to gain size there.
Anyway, we’ve seen some inaccurate workout routines for Cass Martin out there.
There seem to be sites that claim to have interviewed Cass, when they actually haven’t. So instead of speculating, we’ll post a video of Cass’s arm workout that we found online:

Cass Martin Diet
As we mentioned, we’ve seen a lot of websites out there that claim to have interviewed Cass Martin. They also include an imaginary diet plan for Cass Martin too, and she has confirmed that no online site has managed to get her diet plan right yet.
Now, we’re not pretending that we’ve had the honor of speaking with Cass Martin like the pretenders out there. But we have tried to do as much research as possible to try and give you a good idea of Cass Martin’s nutrition.
Eat Your Way Through A Plateau
One really interesting thing that Hunter (Cass Martin’s longtime partner) has said is that it’s possible to eat your way through a plateau.
We’ve never really thought about it this way, so this is great advice; we normally look to change-up our workout routine, but usually stick to the same diet plan for long periods.
Ultimately, whatever Cass is doing is clearly working for her. She’s been able to sculpt an incredible figure, so her nutrition must be on point. So changing up your diet when going through a plateau could be the first point of action – instead of changing up your workout routine straight away.
Red Meat, Carbs etc
During an interview, Cass Martin mentioned that she has a huge appetite that helps her to keep developing her figure. This is great, as some people can find it hard to eat more healthy foods to increase their calorie intake (although some people prefer to indulge in junk foods and ‘dirty bulk’ instead).
We always prefer to follow the same method as Cass; increasing your calories by eating more healthy food surely is the best way to keep fueling your body for growth (there’s nothing wrong with a cheat meal, though).
Also, Cass has mentioned that she eats a lot of red meat. We know that the golden era bodybuilders used to eat tons of steak and red meat too, so it seems like red meat is a staple in many bodybuilding/fitness model diets.
Apart from that, Cass Martin really hasn’t given much away about her diet. We imagine that her meals will consist of lean proteins, green vegetables, complex carbs and some healthy fat sources.
Cass has also stated that she is ‘always eating’ too. We imagine that she consumes smaller meals (around 4-7 meals per day) in intervals of around 2-3 hours. This is something that we personally like to do; it keeps us feeling full without going into that ‘danger’ zone where we crave junk food.
Cass Martin: Female Fitness Sensation
There is no doubt that Cass Martin has positively affected the fitness industry.
While there have been others such as Rachel McLish and Jamie Eason that have hit the spotlight, Cass Martin has gained online attention like no-one else before her. This is evident in her 2 million followers on Instagram.
So, this LeanBulking wiki profile (or biography) was created in honor of this female fitness sensation & inspiration. Let us know your thoughts and if Cass has helped motivate you to work towards your goals!
