Xenadrine-NeuroHeat-Review

About The Product

NeuroHeat is a fat burning supplement made by a company that specialises in weight loss products, Xenadrine. This is a quick first look, using our expertise and honest opinions, so we’re not sure what price NeuroHeat will be available for yet.

However, we do know that it comes in a daily serving size of 3 capsules per day; this is great, as studies have shown that 3-4 capsules spread throughout your day is more likely to keep your body ‘topped’ up and ready for shift body fat.

Anyway, we’ll analyze NeuroHeat’s nutrient profile for you in the next section. But first, we’ll tell you more about the company behind it.

Who is Xenadrine?

Xenadrine is a USA-based supplements company that specialises in fat burner supplements, as we mentioned above. So we always have pretty high hopes whenever this company release a new fat burner like NeuroHeat.

To be honest though, we couldn’t find much information about this company from their website. There was no ‘about us’ section, and we didn’t want to spend more time looking than a normal consumer would have.

To be honest, just looking from the container of this product, we weren’t actually sure whether this was from the same company who made Xenadrine Ultimate; the black, sleeker looking container is a huge upgrade from the blue packaging, so Xenadrine has re-packaged their company very well.

But you came to this review wanting to learn more about Xenadrine NeuroHeat. So let’s see which ingredients have been added in the section below…

Xenadrine NeuroHeat Ingredients Explained

Overall, Xenadrine Neuroheat contains 8 ingredients; this is a good number to have in a supplement. It’s not overloaded so that companies can’t dose their supplement correctly, but it contains enough so that you’re getting good value for money.

Of course, whether Xenadrine Neuroheat is good value for money is dependent on whether it contains safe and effective ingredients.

From first glance though, there doesn’t seem to be much wrong with this fat burner supplement. None of its ingredients are hidden in any proprietary blends, so you can see the exact dosage of each one – which is something we always want to see, so this is good.

Also, we’re glad to see that Xeandrine haven’t overdosed Caffeine Anhydrous in this fat burner; it contains under 100mg per capsule, so you should stay safe from jittery side effects here.

Not only that, we’re happy to see that a key thermogenic, Green Coffee Bean Extract, has been included in Xenadrine NeuroHeat’s formula.

Anyway, without wasting any more time, we’ll now take you through each ingredient inside this fat burner supplement. By the end of this review, you’ll have a good idea of how safe and effective Xenadrine NeuroHeat really is.

The supplement facts for Xenadrine NeuroHeat fat burner.

Here’s Everything You Need To Know:

Caffeine Anhydrous

If you’re wanting to raise your energy levels while cutting carbs and calories from your diet, then Caffeine Anhydrous is a perfect stimulant. Everyone knows that it’s safe, as it’s consumed in Tea and Coffee every day around the world.

However, if you have consumed too much coffee before, you’ll know that large dosages of Caffeine can cause jitters, which lead to the dreaded energy crash – this is the last thing you want when you’re having to eat clean and still train in the gym.

The good news is that you can benefit from Caffeine Anhydrous without risking jittery side effects; you just need to make sure you consume under 100mg Caffeine Anhydrous per capsule serving.

Xenadrine has done a very good job here, as they’ve added an overall Caffeine Anhydrous dosage of 220mg split into 3 capsule servings. Simply put, this means that you’re only consuming around 73mg Caffeine Anhydrous per serving, which is roughly the same as one cup of coffee every 3-4 hours.

Good start by Xenadrine here.

Grains of Paradise

Grains of Paradise is a very interesting spice. It’s been used for decades in Africa for to season food, but it’s only just finding its way to western countries such as the USA and UK. #

So what is it? Well, it’s a spice that’s also known as Aframomum Melegueta and is part of the ginger family; it basically looks like a peppercorn, and has a peppery taste too (but a bit more ‘spicy’).

But one thing to point out is that Grains of Paradise doesn’t contain Capsaicin, so it’s not going to work like chili peppers do to promote fat loss.

Still though, we did find 1 or 2 studies that suggest Grains of Paradise can work. However, these studies used 30mg Grains of Paradise daily over the course of 4 weeks. You can see one study here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24759256

Now, Xenadrine NeuroHeat only contains 20mg per day, so it might not even work (in our honest opinion). Also, as this only gives you 20 servings, it’s only going to last about 20 days too – not ideal.

For this reason, it’s not unreasonable to suggest that Grains of Paradise has been under-dosed in Xenadrine NeuroHeat.

Flowering Quince

Flowering Quince is a flower that’s native to Japan. It’s actually used to make jams and lemonades, due to its pleasant smell.

It might have anti-inflammatory effects and contain antioxidants. However, we couldn’t find enough studies that reinforce its use as a fat burning nutrient to make it reliable here.

For this reason, we would have preferred to see something tried-and-tested to promote fat loss such as Green Tea Extract instead.

Wakame Extract

‘Wakame’ is basically a type of seaweed that’s commonly eaten in Japan. So it’s clear that Xenadrine have tried to make NeuroHeat unique by adding ‘exotic’ nutrients here.

You’ll be glad to hear though, that Wakame Extract contains high levels of Fucoxanthin; there have been a few positive studies to suggest that this might help you shift unwanted fat.

However, in our honest opinion, there hasn’t been enough studies to show that Wakame Extract can promote fat loss reliably. We’ll keep an eye on future studies and maybe one day this might become a key fat burning nutrient. But at the time of writing, we consider it to be unreliable.

Satsuma Orange Concentrate

We’ve seen this in a couple of fat burner supplements before, but we still don’t quite understand the whole point of it. While everyone knows that oranges contain high amounts of Vitamin C, this is basically just orange concentrate in powder form.

Apart from that, Satsuma Oranges are also known for containing Beta-cryptoxanthin; it’s been suggested that this can help reduce cardiovascular risk, although there simply haven’t been enough studies conducted with Beta-cryptoxanthin from Satsuma Orange Concentrate for it to be reliable.

For this reason, we can only consider this to be a ‘bonus’ ingredient. And we would have much preferred to see something more tried-and-tested to promote fat loss such as Green Tea Extract instead here.

Huperzine A

Huperzine A is known for being able to enhance your cognition, which is the reason why it’s found in many nootropic supplements. It’s also found in pre-workout supplements, due to its ability to enhance your focus while you lift weights.

However, we’re not convinced that it’s necessary in a fat burner supplement; Huperzine A isn’t known for being a thermogenic and promote fat loss.

Not only that, Huperzine A is believed to cause side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, and high blood pressure. So it’s something that we would rather avoid.

For this reason, we don’t believe that this is needed in Xenadrine NeuroHeat. Again, we would have preferred something more effective at helping you lose body fat here.

Green Coffee Bean Extract

You might be wondering what makes coffee beans green. Well, coffee beans are actually green in their unroasted form (which you might have already known to be fair).

Now, after that useless piece of knowledge, we’ll tell you something more useful; Green Coffee Beans contain high amounts of chlorogenic acid, which has shown to promote fat loss in numerous studies.

So how does it work? Well, the chlorogenic acid has a positive effect on your blood glucose levels by reducing the ‘spike’ from carbohydrates. Ultimately, this helps keep your body in fat burning mode.

For these reasons, we consider Green Coffee Bean Extract to be a key ingredient in any fat burner supplement.

Choline

We’re not 100% confident why this is necessary in Xenadrine Neuroheat. It’s believed to do a number of things, such as provide you with more natural energy, improve your cognition and improve your general health.

However, we’re not convinced that Choline is able to promote fat loss enough to justify it’s place in a fat burner supplement.

Why? Because there simply hasn’t been enough studies conducted on it to prove that it works.

As a result, we would have much preferred to see something more tried-and-tested to promote fat loss (such as Green Tea Extract).

Side Effects

We’re glad that there isn’t a crazy amount of Caffeine Anhydrous per capsule in Xenadrine NeuroHeat, so you won’t be at risk from jittery side effects here.

But one thing that we would be worried about is the Huperzine A; as we’ve already mentioned, this is believed to cause many side effects, so it’s something we would rather avoid when possible.

Also, Choline has shown to be capable of causing your body odor to smell fishy. While this isn’t harmful at all, we personally wouldn’t want to smell like fish…

Here are the potential side effects of taking Xenadrine NeuroHeat:

  • Nausea (Huperzine A)
  • Diarrhea (Huperzine A)
  • High Blood Pressure (Huperzine A)
  • Cramping (Huperzine A)
  • Fishy Odors in Breath & Sweat (Choline)

Xenadrine NeuroHeat Review Conclusion

Xenadrine are a ‘fat burner’ supplement specialist company. So it’s almost no surprise that this is a very respectable product that has its place on the market; it will be a great option for those who want something a bit more ‘exotic’ and ‘unique’.

However, call us old fashioned, but we prefer to stick with tried-and-tested ingredients that have been around for longer. So we would take Green Tea Extract and Capsaicin over a more recent discovery in the supplement world such as Grains of Paradise (just our honest opinion).
