Grains of Paradise starting being added into fat burners in 2017. Native to Africa, it’s a spice, similar to Cayenne Pepper, being able to raise the heat of foods it’s added to.

While it should be able to boost your metabolism, there hasn’t been enough evidence to suggest that it’s reliable. MuscleTech have added this, as they like to stay ahead of the game, so if it becomes reliable in the future, then they’ve done a great job.

We’re happy to give them the benefit of the doubt here, as we believe Grains of Paradise will help raise your metabolism and promote fat loss. But personally, we would still choose a more reliable nutrient, such as Cayenne Pepper, if we could choose.

Flowering Quince

The scientific name for this ingredient is Chaenomeles Sspeciosa, it’s native to China and has traditionally been used in Chinese medicine for a long time.

It’s known for being a good source of vitamins and minerals (such as Zinc & Magnesium); these are great for your general health, but don’t really help you burn more fat than normal.

For this reason, while Flowering Quince is beneficial, it’s not a necessary addition to Hydroxycut SX-7 Thermo Neuro. Ultimately, we would have preferred to see a key fat burning nutrient such as Green Tea Extract instead here.

Wakame Extract 

MuscleTech have tried to make this sound fancier than it really is.

Wakame is the Japanese name for seaweed, but it might be a great addition to Hydroxycut SX-7 Thermo Neuro; seaweed contains a compound called fucoxanthin that’s shown to reduce liver fat and boost your metabolism.

There’s a good dosage added into this fat burner, so great job. We’re impressed that MuscleTech have added seaweed, and it could be a popular addition to more fat burner supplements in the future.

You just just as easily consume seaweed in Miso Soup or Sushi, but it always helps being able to consume it through Hydroxycut SX-7 Thermo Neuro Revolution too.

Satsuma Orange Concentrate 

This might as well be listed as ‘Orange Juice Powder’. Yes, this is exactly what this is.

MuscleTech probably have included this ingredient to simply make Hydroxycut SX-7 Thermo Neuro Revolution sound a little better, but it already contains some great nutrients so there’s no need for this.

Ultimately, Satsuma Orange Concentrate makes no difference to the performance of Hydroxycut SX-7 Thermo Neuro Revolution at all. But the good news is that it hasn’t been reported to cause side effects either (unless your allergic to orange juice…)

Huperzine A

Now, this is by far the worst addition to Hydroxycut SX-7 Thermo Neuro. But it’s been added to try and turn this fat burner into a nootropic hybrid supplement, as Huperzine A is believed to help improve your cognition.

Personally, we believe that you should buy specialist products to do each job; if you want to lose body fat, then buy a specialist fat burner, but if you want to improve your cognition too, then try a nootropic supplement too.

Anyway, we wouldn’t even advise you to consume Huperzine A in a nootropic, as it’s commonly reported to cause side effects (we’ll expand on this in the next section further down in this review).

Choline 

Along with Huperzine A, Choline is another negative ingredient in Hydroxycut SX-7 Thermo Neuro.

Why? Because it’s known for making your breath and sweat smell fishy, without offering any benefits to help you lose body fat.

Ultimately, this makes Choline a useless ingredient that causes a side effect – not what you want, ey? For this reason, we usually try to avoid supplements containing Choline (and Huperzine A).

We’re impressed with Hydroxycut SX-7 Thermo Neuro. It contains some great nutrients, especially the sensible dosage of Caffeine, Green Coffee Beans, Grains of Paradise and Seaweed.

However, we don’t believe it’s as good as the highest rated fat burner supplements, as it contains both Huperzine A and Choline, which can cause side effects.

Saying that, Hydroxycut SX-7 Thermo Neuro Revolution is much better than around 80% of fat burners we’ve reviewed before. But it’s the small things that can makes the difference between a very good product and a great fat burner supplement.
