About The Company
Hydroxycut Titanium is a fat burner made by MuscleTech. It costs $49.99 for 50 serving containers, with a serving size of 2 capsules per day.
If you’re thinking this is a great price for 50 servings, unfortunately it’s not as good as it sounds; it’s more beneficial to consume 3-4 capsules spread throughout your day, so your body is topped up with key ingredients needed to burn fat. With just 2 daily capsules, your body will be fuelled for only 3-4 hours of the day.
For this reason, to get the best results, we recommend a fat burner that offers 3-4 capsule servings per day. MuscleTech don’t recommend taking this many capsules per day, as Hydroxycut Titanium hasn’t been formulated for this – if you did this, you’d be consuming too much caffeine which would cause jitters (which is why it’s important to find a fat burner specifically made to offer 3-4 capsule servings per day).
Anyway, we’ll tell you about the company behind Hydroxycut Platinum before analyzing the ingredients inside this fat burner.
Who are MuscleTech?
This company needs to introduction, but this is for those of you that haven’t heard of it before. MuscleTech is a supplements company that’s owned by Iovate Health Sciences Inc. and is best known for their hugely popular series of Hydroxycut fat burners.
This fat burner, Hydroxycut Titanium, is MuscleTech’s newest addition to this series – so we’re expecting big things from the reputable brand here. Let’s see if the ingredients can prove it deserves its place on our top 3 fat burners list.
Hydroxycut Titanium Ingredients Explained
Hydroxycut Titanium contains 8 ingredients, which is a good number to have in a fat burner; there are companies that add too many ingredients and forget about dosing them correctly.
From first glance, we like that Hydroxycut Titanium doesn’t contain any proprietary blends – meaning you can see the exact dosages of each ingredient inside this fat burner. Ultimately, this allows you to see the effectiveness of the product and it shows that MuscleTech are confident in their fat burner (which is always a good thing).
We’ll take you through each ingredient inside Hydroxycut Titanium – so you can see how good it really is.
Here’s Everything You Need To Know:
Caffeine
This is the safest and most effective stimulant you can find in fat burner supplements; it’s consumed everyday in tea & coffee, so everyone knows that it works.
Simply put, Caffeine helps to raise your energy levels while you cut calories – as cutting calories is also essential when aiming to lose body fat. The only thing you have to watch out for is the dosage of this stimulant (consuming too much can cause jitters and energy crashes, which you’ll know if you’ve consumed too much coffee before).
If Hydroxycut Titanium was split into 3-4 capsule servings, then 250mg wouldn’t be a bad dosage. However, as the serving size is 2 capsules per day, this means you’re consuming 125mg Caffeine per capsule – to put this into perspective, pre-workout supplements usually contain 150mg Caffeine per serving, but they’re designed to get you pumped up for your gym session!
Ultimately, you don’t want to be sat at your office or at your job with too much energy to focus. This isn’t a bad Caffeine dosage if you’re planning on taking it before the gym, but then you won’t experience raised energy levels throughout your day (when you need it the most on a diet).
This is a great example of why we prefer serving sizes of 3-4 capsules with fat burners.
Canephora Robusta (Green Coffee Bean Extract)
To clear up any confusion, Canephora Robusta is simply the fancy name for Green Coffee Bean. And this is actually one of our favorite fat burning ingredients, as it’s proven to work.
Basically, studies have shown that Green Coffee Bean Extract is able to boost your metabolism – which encourages your body to burn more fat fat as fuel. This results in you achieving those rock hard abs you’ve always wanted faster than normal.
Ultimately, this is a great ingredient worth looking out for, on your search for the best fat burner on the market.
Black Pepper Extract
This is the same stuff that you sprinkle on top of your food and add to cooking. But you probably didn’t know that it improves your digestion and increases the absorption rate of supplements.
Don’t get us wrong; we wouldn’t buy a supplement just because it contains Black Pepper Extract. But it’s a useful addition to any supplement and a good ‘bonus’ to have.
Satsuma Mandarin Concentrate
This is simply a fancy name for orange juice…it’s the extract from a Satsuma Mandarin orange, and is believed to promote fat loss.
However, we’re not convinced; there hasn’t been enough research backing up these claims – making it an unreliable ingredient in Hydroxycut Titanium.
If you want to add this to your diet, then eat a few satsuma mandarins or squeeze some to make your own juice…
Coeleus Forskohlii
This sounds like a strange ingredient, but there’s been a few studies to suggest that it works to promote testosterone levels, while slightly decreasing fat levels. However, it’s effects on fat loss have shown to be very minimal – so it’s only potentially useful in testosterone booster supplements.
As Hydroxycut Titanium is a fat burner and isn’t designed to boost your test levels – Coleus Forskohlii is an ineffective ingredient that’s not needed here. We would have preferred to see an ingredient proven to boost fat loss, such as Green Tea Extract instead.
Black Ginger
Also known as ‘Thai Ginseng’, ‘Black Tumeric’ and ‘Kaempferia Parviflora’; it’s traditionally believed to increase your testosterone levels. While it hasn’t shown to work in studies, those that believe it works claim you need at least 1.2g (1,200mg) for Black Ginger to work.
As Hydroxycut Titanium only contains 100mg Black Ginger, this ingredient won’t offer any benefits at all. Not only that, this is a fat burner supplement – so there’s no need for ingredients believed to promote your test levels – if you want this benefit, then you’d get better results using a testosterone booster supplement.
Longan Extract
This is also known as ‘Dimocarpus Longan’ or ‘Euphoria’; it’s believed to improve your cognition and promote fat loss. However, no studies have proven that it works – making it an unreliable ingredient in Hydroxycut Titanium.
Galangal Extract
Otherwise known as ‘Kaempferol’, this is a flavanoid believed to contain anti-cancer properties. However, there hasn’t been enough research conducted on this ingredient for it to work.
Basically, this is another unreliable ingredient inside Hydroxycut Titanium.

Side Effects
One of the good things about Hydroxycut Titanium, is that that it hasn’t been reported to cause many side effects. However, it’s important to know that there’s 125mg Caffeine in each capsule; so those sensitive to Caffeine should avoid drinking other products containing this stimulant (such as tea & coffee), or they might suffer from jitters and energy crashes.
We prefer fat burners with less than 100mg Caffeine per capsule; this ensures that you can enjoy other products containing caffeine, while staying safe from side effects. Not only that, as some ingredients in Hydroxycut Titanium haven’t been researched much, it’s not 100% certain whether their safe (such as Coleus Forskohlii, Longan Extract & Galangal Extract).
This is a great example of why we prefer fat burners containing tried-and-trusted ingredients – so you know they’re both safe and effective.
Here’s the potential side effects when taking Hydroxycut Titanium:
- Jitters (over 100mg Caffeine per capsule)
- Energy Crashes (over 100mg Caffeine per capsule)
Hydroxycut Titanium Review Conclusion
You can’t argue that MuscleTech are well respected in the supplements industry; when looking for a fat burner, it’s hard not to see one of their Hydroxycut series on the market.
While this is one of the best fat burners in their series, it can’t compete with the product on the market. We like that Hydroxycut Titanium doesn’t contain any proprietary blends or banned ingredients such as Yohimbe or Synephrine – but its bad serving size and unreliable ingredients (Coleus Forskohlii, Longan Extract, Galangal Extract & Black Ginger) are what lets it down.
Bottom Line: It can be the small things that sets average fat burners apart from the best on the market. Unfortunately, this is why Hydroxycut Titanium can’t compete with our favorite fat burner this year, but it’s still better than most out there.
