About The Product

Limitless is a pre-workout supplement made by Muscle Rage. It costs £34.99 ($48) for 30 serving containers, making it one of the higher priced products on the market, and more expensive than our highest rated pre-workouts on the market.

As it’s highly priced, we’re expecting only the best with Limitless by Muscle Rage. So we’ll be keeping an close eye on how safe and effective its ingredients are, and whether they’ve been optimally dosed too, in the next section.

First, we’ll tell you more about the company behind this pre-workout.

Who are Muscle Rage?

We saw Limitless by chance, after seeing an online advert for it. Muscle Rage are a UK-based supplements company, so we’re guessing their main market is the UK.

However, we did find that they ship to the USA, and the rest of the world for an addition £20-£40 shipping fee.

Apart from that, there wasn’t much information about Muscle Rage available on their website. So let’s see which ingredients have been added to their pre-workout supplement, Limitless, below…

Muscle Rage Limitless Ingredients Explained

Muscle Rage Limitless contains 8 ingredients overall, which is a good number to have in 1 supplement; from experience, we’ve found that pre-workouts containing more than 10 are usually under-dosed.

More good news is that MuscleRage haven’t hidden any ingredients in any proprietary blends. This means you can see the exact dosages of nutrients in Muscle Rage Limitless.

As a result, from first impressions, you can see that Muscle Rage Limitless contains an optimal dosage of Citrulline Malate; this is quite rare to see in the market, so it’s good that this company has done their research before formulating this pre-workout.

But there are some negatives too; this includes the highly dosed Caffeine Anhydrous, which might cause jittery side effects to those sensitive, along with Beta-Alanine being able to cause itchy & tingly skin.

Anyway, we’ll expand on this as we take you through each ingredient in Muscle Rage Limitless. By the end of this review, you’ll have a good idea of how safe and effective this pre-workout really is.

Here’s Everything You Need To Know:

Citrulline Malate

Citrulline Malate is the best nutrient in Muscle Rage Limitless. It’s proven to enhance your muscle pumps, by raising your nitric oxide levels once in your system.

Simply put, muscle pumps make your workout much more enjoyable. More importantly, they also help reduce muscular damage and improve muscular endurance (as they allow for more blood and oxygen enters your muscles).

Studies have shown that you need 6,000mg of Citrulline Malate for it to work, so Muscle Rage has done a great job here; they’ve added this optimal dosage into their pre-workout, Muscle Rage Limitless.

Great start for this pre-workout, let’s hope that the good news keeps coming!

Beta-Alanine

Beta-Alanine is quite a controversial ingredient, as it’s both beneficial and can cause a side effects; it’s shown to be capable of enhancing your muscular endurance, along with itchy & tingly skin too (a side effect officially known as parethesia).

Personally, we prefer to avoid Beta-Alanine in pre-workouts as we don’t enjoy its side effect. But we do know some that don’t mind suffering itchy & tingly skin during their gym sessions. So it really is up to personal preference.

In our honest opinion, we believe that Creatine Monohydrate is better than Beta-Alanine, as it’s proven to enhance your strength & endurance without causing side effects. As a result, we would have much preferred to see Creatine Monohydrate in Muscle Rage Limitless instead.

Caffeine Anhydrous

When it comes to boosting your energy levels, Caffeine Anhydrous is the best stimulant on the market. Everyone knows its safe, as it’s consumed daily in products such as tea & coffee.

But coffee lovers will also know that high amounts of Caffeine can cause jittery side effects; this is why we always recommend that you consume under 200mg per serving in pre-workout supplements.

The bad news is that Muscle Rage Limitless contains a HUGE 250mg dosage of Caffeine Anhydrous. Not everyone will be able to handle this amount, and it might cause jittery side effects to most, especially those with low tolerance to this stimulant.

In fairness though, those that consume over 6 cups of coffee per day will enjoy this big boost of Caffeine Anhydrous in Muscle Rage Limitless.

L-Norvaline

We mentioned that Citrulline Malate is proven to enhance your muscle pumps. Well, L-Norvaline is believed to offer the same benefit.

Basically, many think that L-Norvaline is capable of breaking down the natural ‘limit’ that your body places on nitric oxide production. So in theory, it should be effective.

However, L-Norvaline hasn’t actually proven itself to be reliable in many human case studies. For this reason, we can’t consider L-Norvaline to be a reliable addition to Muscle Rage Limitless here.

The good news is that there’s already an optimal dosage of Citrulline Malate in this pre-workout, so you’ll still be sure to benefit from enhanced muscle pumps regardless.

Highest-Rated-Pre-Workouts-This-Year

2-Aminoisoheptane

Also known as DMHA, this is a stimulant that’s believed to offer the same benefits as Caffeine Anhydrous (increased energy levels and focus etc).

2-aminoisoheptane has also been used as a ‘fat burner’, due to it’s ability to slightly promote fat loss. But the bad news is that it’s not shown to be 100% safe or effective, which is why it’s banned from competitive sports to help protect athletes.

Not only that, there’s already a HUGE dosage of Caffeine Anhydrous in Muscle Rage Limitless already. So there’s simply no need to add more stimulants like DMHA here anyway.

Personally, we try to avoid supplements containing more than 1 stimulant, to stay safe from jittery side effects.

Higenamine

Here’s some more bad news. Higenamine is another stimulant that’s been added to Muscle Rage Limitless.

Basically, Higenamine is also believed to help you burn fat, so it would probably be better suited to a fat burner supplement anyway, not a pre-workout supplement.

Ultimately, the addition of Higenamine only increases your risk of suffering jittery side effects. For this reason, we don’t consider this to be a necessary ingredient in Muscle Rage Limitless.

Hordenine

Hordenine is another stimulant that’s believed to raise your energy levels and alertness. But remember that there is already a massive dosage of Caffeine Anhydrous in Muscle Rage Limitless, so this isn’t necessary here.

We would have much preferred something more beneficial, such as Creatine Monohydrate; everyone knows that Creatine Monohydrate improves your strength and endurance in the gym.

Black Pepper Extract

You’ve definitely consumed Black Pepper before, as it’s almost always used in cooking at restaurants and even at home!

But you might not have known that Black Pepper Extract contains high amounts of piperine; this has proven to improve your digestion and the absorption rate of supplements that it’s added to.

So while Black Pepper Extract is never going to deliver key benefits by itself, it helps make supplements better overall. This is why we consider it to be a useful ‘bonus’ addition to Muscle Rage Limitless here.

Side Effects

Our main concern with Muscle Rage Limitless, is that it contains an overload of stimulants; the HUGE 250mg dosage of Caffeine Anhydrous along with Hordenine, Higenamine & DMHA all increase your risk of suffering jittery side effects (especially if you’re sensitive to stimulants).

Not only that, Beta-Alanine is known for causing itchy & tingly skin too.

Here’s the potential side effects from taking Muscle Rage Limitless:

  • Jitters (Overload of Stimulants)
  • Energy Crashes (Overload of Stimulants)
  • Itchy & Tingly Skin (Beta-Alanine)

Muscle Rage Limitless Review Conclusion

For the most part, Muscle Rage Limitless is a respectable pre-workout supplement; it contains an optimal 6,000mg dosage of Citrulline Malate, which is quite rare to see.

However, you can’t ignore that this pre-workout contains an overload of stimulants. This won’t be good for those sensitive to Caffeine Anhydrous, as there’s definitely an increased risk of jittery side effects due to the huge 250mg dosage in Muscle Rage Limitless.

Also, this pre-workout is missing some key nutrients such as Creatine Monohydrate. So for the £34.99 asking price, you could get a much better product in our honest opinion.
