About The DGAF Pre-Workout
DGAF (which stands for ‘Don’t Give A F*ck’) is a pre-workout supplement made by Weighted Lift Supplements. It costs $44.95 for 30 servings, and comes in a flavor called ‘Cobra’s Blood’ – after tasting it and asking the company about the flavor, we were told it’s ‘Pineapple Strawberry’.
It actually tasted good, but we realized DGAF pre-workout contains artificial sweeteners; personally, artificial sweeteners causes side effects, so we prefer pre-workouts that contain natural sweeteners instead.
Anyway, we’ll tell you about the company behind this product, and then take you through the ingredient list.
Who are Weighted Life Supplements?
If you haven’t heard of this supplements company before this product, that’s because DGAF pre-workout is their first product on the market. They’re a new supplements company – so there wasn’t much information available about them on their website.
We prefer seeing websites that provide all the information about the company. In our opinion, if they’re website isn’t finished yet, then they shouldn’t be selling products yet…rookie error from this young supplements brand.
But what’s most important, is whether DGAF pre-workout contains effective ingredients in optimal dosages; this is exactly what we’ll analyze below.
DGAF Pre-Workout Ingredients Explained
DGAF pre-workout contains 7 main ingredients, which we’ll fully analyze for you in this section. This is a good number of ingredients to have; we don’t like the pre-workouts that contain 10-20 ingredients, as ingredients are usually under-dosed in these products.
From first glance, we’re quite happy with the dosages of ingredients in DGAF pre-workout. And we’re also glad that no ingredients are hidden in any proprietary blends – so good first impressions from us.
For this reason, we’re excited to look deeper into Weighted Life Supplement’s first product. We’ll take you through each ingredient inside DGAF pre-workout below – so you can see how good this pre-workout really is, and whether it’s worth trying out.
Here’s Everything You Need To Know:
Beta-Alanine
This always splits opinions; Beta-Alanine can enhance muscular endurance in the gym, but it also causes a side effect called paresthesia.
For those that don’t know, paresthesia is a tingling and itchy sensation on your face and skin. Personally, we don’t like this side effect, so we try to avoid it when we can.
We do acknowledge that Beta-Alanine does offer a benefit, and can improve your gym session. But Creatine Monohydrate offers enhanced endurance without causing side effect, so we prefer this ingredient instead (unfortunately, DGAF pre-workout doesn’t contain creatine monohydrate).
Citrulline
Citrulline can be a key pre-workout ingredient, as it’s shown to improve your muscle pumps in the gym. Weighted Life Supplements has done a great job here, by dosing Citrulline effectively at 3g (3,000mg).
But if we’re being picky, we prefer Citrulline Malate (which is Citrulline with Malic Acid added, which has shown to improve your strength too). If you’re looking for pre-workouts containing Citrulline Malate, then the optimal dosage for this ingredient is 6,000mg.
As we’ve mentioned, Citrulline will enhance your muscle pumps here – good job by Weighted Life Supplements, showing they’ve done some research before formulating DGAF pre-workout.
D-Aspartic Acid
We’re not sure why Weighted Life Supplements has added D-Aspartic acid into their pre-workout here; this ingredient is better in test boosters, as it’s shown to boost your testosterone levels.
However, it’s not going to do much here, as you’ll only be taking 1 serving of DGAF pre-workout per day. Simply put, studies have shown that DAA only works when consumed in 3-4 separate dosages, instead of 1 big serving.
But we’ll give Weighted Life Supplements credit where it’s due; they’ve dosed DAA optimally here. It’s a shame that this ingredient isn’t needed in a pre-workout supplement.
Caffeine
Caffeine is a key pre-workout ingredient in both pre-workouts and fat burners. Here’s why: Caffeine has shown to improve your strength, endurance, focus and energy levels in the gym – which are all key benefits to help you make gains.
However, you need to watch out how much Caffeine you consume; too much can cause jitters and energy levels (over 200mg per serving).
Unfortunately, Weighted Life Supplement’s DGAF pre-workout contains 300mg Caffeine per serving. This means you might suffer from side effects if you’re sensitive to this stimulant.
If you’re worried about Caffeine causing side effects, we recommend pre-workouts containing less than 200mg Caffeine per serving.
2-Aminoisoheptane
Also known as DMHA, this ingredient is a stimulant that’s believed to raise your energy levels. However, as it’s a fairly new ingredient, DMHA hasn’t proven to be safe or effective in many studies.
For this reason, we consider this an unreliable ingredient. Call us old fashioned, but we stick to Caffeine when it comes to stimulants (Caffeine is proven to be safe & effective in countless studies).

Noopept
This is a patented form of N-phenylacetyl-L-prolylglycine ethyl ester; it’s believed to boost your cognition. However, it’s not shown to offer any other benefit to improve your gym session.
For this reason, we believe Noopept is better suited to Nootropic supplements – Caffeine offers enough boost in focus for a pre-workout.
Huperzine A
Similarly to the last ingredient, Huperzine A is another ‘brain booster’ ingredient that’s shown to enhance your cognition. But we also believe Huperzine A is better suited to Nootropic supplements; Caffeine offers enough improvement to your focus, to help you perform better in the gym.
Not only that, Huperzine A has been reported to cause numerous side effects in supplements. For this reasom, we usually avoid products that contain this ingredient.

DGAF pre-workout contains 4 things that can cause side effects; Beta-Alanine, DMHA, Huperzine A & the large dosage of Caffeine (over 200mg per serving).
It’s possible to find pre-workouts that don’t cause any side effects at all; in fact, the best pre-workouts on the market haven’t shown to cause any.

However, we won’t completely criticize Weighted Life Supplements; this is a new supplements company and are allowed to have a year or 2 learning the ropes – didn’t we all?!
