Juiced is a pre-workout supplement made by Red X Labs. It costs around $45 for 25 serving containers and comes in 3 flavors – Orange Mango and Blue Raspberry (both sounded pretty tasty, but we went with the Orange Mango flavor).
It’s good that you chose this review, as we’ll be talking about some pretty important things that you’ll need to know; Juiced pre-workout contains some potentially harmful ingredients you should be aware of.
But first, we’ll tell you about the company behind this product.
Who Are Red X Lab?
We always look at a company’s ‘about us’ page on their website, to try and see how much effort they put into making themselves presentable.
And we weren’t too impressed with Red X Lab’s website; they’d spend a lot of time making their logo look good, but what’s the point if no-one knows who they are?
Anyway, we didn’t learn when this company was established, but we saw that they market a range of supplements – from this pre-workout supplement to fat burners.
So let’s take a look at which ingredients Red X Lab has decided to add to their pre-workout, Juiced, below…
Juiced Pre-Workout Ingredients Explained
Juiced pre-workout contains 7 ingredients overall, which is a great number to have in a pre-workout supplement. However, we didn noticed that it’s missing a few key ingredients such as L-Theanine (as Juiced contains an overdose of Caffeine).
Not only that; Juiced contains 2 ingredients that we always stay away from, as they’ve caused harmful side effects in the past – Syneprhine and DMAE.
Anyway, this sounds like a very harsh start to the review, but we cut the BS and give you the truth at LeanBulking.com.
We’ll take you through each ingredient inside Juiced pre-workout – so you can see how effective it really is.
Here’s Everything You Need To Know:
We always have mixed opinions about this ingredient, as we have to be as impartial as we can. Personally, we don’t like Beta-Alanine, as it causes a side effect called paresthesia.
What’s paresthesia? Well, it’s a tingling and itching sensation on the skin of your face and body – something that really distracts us from our gym sessions.
However, we realize that others are willing to put up with this side effect. So we’ll never recommend you to stay away from a product purely because it contains Beta-Alanine.
In all fairness, Beta-Alanine has shown to enhance your muscular endurance too, so it’s useful. But we prefer Creatine Monohydrate, as it offers the same benefit without the side effect.
We just mentioned that Creatine Monohydrate is one of our favorite ingredients. Well, Red X Lab has decided to add Creatine Hydrochloride instead, which is believed to be more water soluble.
However, no studies have actually proven that Creatine Hydrochloride is more beneficial than Monohydrate.
Call us old fashioned, but we stick to what’s been tried-and-tested – and Creatine Monohydrate is the safest and most reliable form of creatine available.
But saying that, there’s a good chance that Creatine Hydrochloride will still improve your strength and endurance in the gym here.
Now, this is an ingredient that’s commonly added to pre-workouts, but isn’t good. Why? Because L-Arginine has shown to have a poor absorption rate, meaning it’s mostly ineffective when added into supplements.
This is why we prefer Citrulline Malate; Citrulline converts into L-Arginine in your kidneys, which solves the issue. Ultimately, this raises your nitric oxide levels, increases your blood flow and enhances your muscle pumps in the gym.
We gave you quick overview of Citrulline Malate just above. As it’s proven to enhance your muscle pumps, we consider it a key pre-workout ingredient in any supplement.
But there’s a problem; Red X Lab haven’t dosed this well (optimal dosages are 6,000mg, while Juiced pre-workout only contains 500mg).
500mg is a tiny amount of Citrulline Malate to add to your product, and it’s not likely to work at all. Ultimately, this is a great example of why dosing ingredients correctly is so important.
Caffeine is another of our favorite ingredients in pre-workout supplements; everyone knows it can raise your energy levels, but it’s often overdosed in many supplements.
And this is exactly the mistake that Red X Lab has made in Juiced pre-workout. Basically, we always advise that you consume under 200mg Caffeine per serving in pre-workout supplements, but there’s a HUGE 320mg dosage in Juiced pre-workout.
Why is this bad? Answer: Caffeine dosages over 200mg per serving can cause side effects such as jitters and energy crashes.
To put this into perspective, it’s recommended that you consume under 400mg Caffeine in your entire day; so you can see how bad consuming 320mg in 1 serving really is (this is the equivalent of consuming 4-5 cups of coffee at once).
Ultimately. this is a great example of why you need to check the Caffeine dosages in every pre-workout you’re interested in buying.
We mentioned that Caffeine was a key ingredient in pre-workout supplements, when dosed correctly. Well, DMAE is the opposite – it’s something you should stay away from at all times.
Why? Because DMAE has shown to cause birth defects in unborn babies. So if you’re ever considering having kids in the future, then avoid this like the plague.
Not only that; DMAE hasn’t actually proven to deliver any useful benefits to improve your gym sessinon anyway.
Ultimately, this ingredient isn’t worth taking. There are plenty of safe and effective pre-workout ingredients to choose from, so there’s no need to risk this side effect.
Also known as Citrus Aurantium and Bitter Orange Peel, it’s shown to promote fat loss. However, it’s also been banned in countries such as the UK, due to consistently causing harmful side effects.
Not only that; fat loss isn’t a direct benefit of taking a pre-workout supplement anyway (if fat loss is your main goal, then a fat burner supplement is more beneficial for you).
For this reason, we always recommend that you avoid Synephrine.

There are 3 things in Juiced pre-workout that can cause side effects – DMAE, Synephrine and the HUGE 320mg dosage of Caffeine.
In a quick summary; DMAE has shown to be teratogenic (meaning it can cause birth defects to unborn babies), Synephrine has been reported to cause numerous side effects, which we’ll bullet point below.
Also, we always recommend you to consume under 200mg Caffeine per serving in pre-workout supplements; this will keep you safe from jitters and energy crashes. But unfortunately, Juiced pre-workout contains a HUGE 320mg dosage, which puts you at risk.

We probably sound like we’ve been very harsh towards Juiced pre-workout in this review. But there are some good points; it’s not filled with 10+ ingredients, which is good, and Red X Lab has added Citrulline Malate & Caffeine – which are 2 key pre-workout ingredients.
However, they’ve dosed Citrulline and Caffeine incorrectly; Citrulline Malate’s optimal dosage is 6,000mg, but Red X Lab only added 500mg.
Also, the Caffeine has been seriously over-dosed, putting you at risk from side effects (as you from the side effects section above). For this reason, we always recommend that you choose pre-workouts containing under 200mg Caffeine per serving – to stay safe and get the best results for your money.
