About The Product

Black Lion is marketed as a testosterone booster/fat burner/nootropic hybrid supplement by Raw Synergies. It costs $49.99 for 30 servings, but it only comes with a serving size of 2 capsules daily.

Why is this bad? Well, studies have shown that taking serving sizes of 3-4 capsules is optimal, as it keeps your body fuelled for much longer.

But on a positive note, from first glance, we can see that Raw Synergies have added a key nutrient, Fenugreek Seed Extract.

Anyway, we’ll expand on this and more in the next section, where we’ll analyze Black Lion’s nutrient profile for you. But first, we’ll tell you more about the company behind it.

Who are Raw Synergies?

We won’t lie, we hadn’t heard of Raw Synergies before 2017. But we believe that they were founded this year, and their website looks very new, so we might be accurate.

However, we couldn’t find any ‘about us’ page to confirm this. So it was quite hard to learn more about this company; this is why we prefer companies to have a page explaining their goals and their history to their potential customers.

Looking at their products, they seem to create ‘hybrid’ supplements that try and do more than 1 thing. But we don’t have good experiences with these kind of supplements, and prefer products to be specialiazed at 1 thing.

But we’ll help you make your mind up, by looking at the ingredients inside below.

Black Lion Ingredients Explained

Black Lion contains 8 ingredients overall, which isn’t a bad number to have in 1 supplement. However, as we mentioned, Raw Synergies have tried to make this into an all-in-one test booster/fat burner/nootropic product.

As a result, you’ll see that it contains individual ingredients aimed at delivering these benefits. Now, we’ll take you through each ingredient inside Black Lion in this section.

By the end of this review, you’ll know exactly how safe and effective this supplement really is.

Here’s Everything You Need To Know:

Fenugreek Seed Extract

Starting wit the only ingredient proven to boost your testosterone levels in Black Lion; Fenugreek Seed Extract is a key addition to any product, as it’s tried-and-tested to raise both your T and libido.

However, studies have also shown you only need as little as 50mg for this nutrient to work. Black Lion contains a big 500mg dosage, so it’ll definitely work here.

But as we mentioned, Fenugreek Seed Extract is the only nutrient that’s actually going to help raise your testosterone levels in Black Lion.

For this reason, if you’re looking to really boost your T levels, we recommend looking at specialist test boosters instead.

Ashwagandha Root Extract

In case you’re unaware, Ashwagandha is herb that’s been used in Ayurveda (Traditional Indian Medicine) for a very long time.

It’s shown to raise your power output slightly in the gym, making it a useful ‘bonus’ addition to a test booster supplement. However, it’s not a key addition, as studies have proven that it has no effect on your testosterone levels.

Ultimately, we would have preferred to see a nutrient reliable at boosting your T-levels such as Vitamin D3 in Black Lion instead. But Ashwagandha isn’t the worst ingredient in this supplement.

Citicoline

Citicoline is the reason that Raw Synergies has advertised Black Lion as a ‘natural brain supplement’ alongside being a ‘testosterone booster’.

Why? Because in fairness, Citicoline has shown to be effective at raising your cognition.

However, on it’s own, it’s not going to help Black Lion compete with specialist nootropic supplements containing 6-8 nutrients focused on delivering improved cognition.

Ultimately, this is exactly why we believe that Raw Synergies has tried to do too many things at once with Black Lion. We would have much preferred to see more testosterone boosting nutrients, instead of a nootropic ingredient here.

Coleus Forskohlii

Now, this is an interesting addition to Black Lion, as it’s only recently started to be added to supplements.

What does it do? Well, Coleus Forskohlii is believed to improve your testosterone levels and promote fat loss.

However, the bad news is that there hasn’t been enough studies to prove whether it works or not.

For this reason, we consider Coleus Forskohlii to be an unreliable addition to Black Lion. But we’ll be keeping a close eye on this ingredient to see whether future studies reveal whether it’s safe and effective.

Caffeine

We really don’t believe that Caffeine is a necessary addition to this ingredient; Raw Synergies has added Caffeine in Black Lion to try and make it into a ‘thermogenic’ supplement. too.

However, the bad news is that you’ll be benefited more by drinking green tea throughout the day then the Caffeine here.

Ultimately, if you’re main goal is to get shredded or lose some body fat, then we advise you to look at specialist fat burners instead.

Eurycoma Longifolia

Eurycoma Longifolia has been believed to raise your testosterone levels in the past. However, the bad news is that studies have shown it has no effect on your T levels at all.

But the good news is Eurycoma Longifolia has proven to improve your libido; as this is a useful benefit suited to a test booster supplement, we believe that this is a great ‘bonus’ addition to Black Lion here.

DIM

Also known as Diindolymethane, this is known for being able to prevent testosterone from converting into estrogen.

However, this benefit simply isn’t needed, as no natural testosterone booster will be strong enough to raise your T levels so highly that it begins to convert into estrogen.

Basically, companies add DIM as a gimmick; they try to fool their customers into thinking their test booster is ‘stronger’ than it really is.

For this reason, it’s wise to always check the other ingredients in supplements that DIM is added to – to ensure it’s actually an effective product.

Theacrine

This is the final ingredient in Black Lion, but Raw Synergies hasn’t exactly finished with a bang here.

Why? Because Theacrine is another stimulant that works in a similar way to caffeine, meaning it only puts you at risk from jitters.

Basically, we advise choosing supplements that only contain 1 stimulant, to reduce your risk of suffering jitters.

However, as we mentioned before, stimulants aren’t necessary here, as Black Lion is mainly marketed as a ‘male optimization’ product.

Side Effects

The good news is that most ingredients are safe from side effects in Black Lion. However, as it contains 2 sources of stimulants, there’s always the risk of causing jittery side effects.

For this reason, we always advise that you choose supplements containing only 1 stimulant – to stay safe. But as we mentioned before, there’s no need for stimulants in testosterone booster supplements anyway.

Here’s the potential side effects from taking Black Lion:

  • Jitters (2 stimulants in 1 supplement)
  • Energy Crashes (2 stimulants in 1 supplement)

Black Lion Review Conclusion

We mentioned at the start of the review that we’re not convinced that Black Lion could offer the benefits of a testosterone booster/fat burner/nootropic all in 1 package – and we were right.

After looking at the ingredients inside this product, it while Raw Synergies has chosen the ingredients in this product quite wisely, you’d be benefited more by choosing a specialist supplement for your certain goal.
