MRI neuro pump pre workout review - leanbulking

About The Product

Neuro Pump is a pre-workout supplement made by MRI. It costs $59.99 on their website, for 30 serving containers and comes in one flavor – Electric Blue Razz.

Who are MRI?

MRI (Medical Research Institute) are a supplements company founded in 1997, which specializes in pre-workout supplements.

From the name of Neuro Pump, we’re guessing that it’s designed to improve your focus and muscle pumps in the gym. Let’s see whether it’s ingredient list proves it works.

MRI Neuro Pump Ingredients Explained

As we’ve mentioned, MRI Neuro Pump is designed to improve your focus and muscle pumps while lifting weights. It contains a HUGE amount of ingredients (12 main ingredients to be exact), as well as a proprietary blend.

We’ll analyze the most important ingredient inside MRI Neuro Pump – so you can see how good this pre-workout really is.

Here’s Everything You Need To Know:

Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutorate

Also known as AAKG, this is the salt extracted from L-Arginine, believed to enhance muscle pumps. But here’s the problem: L-Arginine has a poor absorption rate, so is ineffective when orally supplemented.

For the same reason, AAKG is ineffective in pre-workout supplements.

We have mixed opinions about Beta-Alanine; it’s shown to enhance muscular endurance, but can cause paresthesia (see side effects section for more info).

This is one of the worst ingredients you can find in a pre-workout. Basically, it’s not shown to offer any benefits in studies – but can cause fishy odors in your breath and sweat.

Also known as ALCAR, this is a key pre-workout ingredient when in dosages of at least 500mg. It’s shown to reduce both muscle damage and fatigue, while improving your focus.

However, there’s only 100mg in MRI Neuro Pump – meaning it’s not likely to work here.

L-Tyrosine’s shown to improve cognition, but doesn’t offer any other benefits to improve your gym session. As a result, we prefer this in a Nootropic supplement – but it hasn’t shown to cause consistent side effects, so there’s nothing bad about having this in here.

Alpha GPC

This is believed to improve your focus in the gym in dosages between 300-600mg. However, there’s only 200mg in MRI Neuro Pump – meaning it might not work.

Not only that, Alpha GPC’s been reported to cause numerous side effects (see side effects section for more info).

‘Smart Caffeine’ Combo

When Caffeine & L-Theanine are consumed together, they form a ‘smart-caffeine’ – basically, L-Theanine is a relaxing agent that enhances the benefits of Caffeine in smaller dosages.

It shows that a company’s done there research when they add this combo, so great job by MRI here.

Mucuna Pruriens

Mucuna Pruriens is an ingredient more commonly seen in testosterone booster supplements – as it’s shown to improve both testosterone and HGH levels.

However, there’s no need for this ingredient in MRI Neuro Pump – simply put, Mucuna Pruriens needs to be taken in 4 dosages spread throughout your day for it to work.

Side Effects

There are 3 ingredients in MRI Neuro Pump that have been reported to cause side effects – Beta-Alanine, Choline, and Alpha-GPC.

Also, the proprietary blend called ‘Medium Chain Glycerides 70% Blend’ increases your risk of side effects (but MRI haven’t shown us which ingredients are inside, so we can’t say for sure).

Here’s the potential side effects from taking MRI Neuro Pump:

  • Paresthesia – tingling on the skin of your face and body (Beta-Alanine)
  • Fishy odors in your breath and sweat (Choline)
  • Heartburn (Alpha-GPC)
  • Headache (Alpha-GPC)
  • Dizziness (Alpha-GPC)

MRI Neuro Pump Review Conclusion

One thing that impressed us about MRI Neuro Pump, is that it contains the ‘Smart-Caffeine combo’ – this is usually only found in the best pre-workouts, but unfortunately it’s other ingredients lets this product down.

As you can see from the list of potential side effects, it could ruin your workout instead of improving it. We believe the best pre-workout supplements are free from side effects, while offering key benefits to enhance your gym sessions.

For this reason, there are definitely better pre-workouts for you to choose from.
