Glycerol Monostearate 

Considering Man Sports only added 3 main ingredients, Glycerol Monostearate isn’t the best addition to Pump Powder here.

Why? Because the main reason it’s used is as an emulsifier in ice cream and whipped creamed (to help thicken them up).

Ultimately, Man Sports have tried to fool you into thinking this is an important ingredient, when it’s simply to thicken up the powder in their Pump Powder.

Citrulline Malate 

Finally, a useful ingredient. In fact, Citrulline Malate is one of the best ingredients you can find in supplements for the very reason that it actually works.

We mentioned briefly before that Citrulline Malate is able to raise your nitric oxide levels; this leads to your blood flow increasing, allowing more blood into your muscles – giving you that ‘swole’ look.

Not only does this make you feel invincible, but it also improves your muscular endurance and lowers fatigue too.

However, it’s important to remember that Citrulline Malate has only shown to work in dosages of 6,000mg. Unfortunately, Man Sports have only added 3,000mg into Pump Powder, meaning it’s not likely to be effective here.

Ultimately, this is a great example of why you should always check the dosages of ingredients inside supplements – to see if they actually work.

The worst part is that Man Sports only added 1 key pre-workout ingredient (Citrulline Malate), and they’ve even managed to under-dose this nutrient in Pump Powder…

We would have preferred Man Sports to have added other effective nutrients such as Creatine Monohydrate, and even a sensible dosage of Caffeine to give you that ‘kick’ during your last sets in the gym.

Ultimately, we understand why companies offer ‘stimulant-free’ pre-workouts; many have been put-off taking pre-workouts containing caffeine, due to many pre-workouts containing crazy amounts in the past.

However, it’s important to remember that you’ll suffer from jittery side effects after consuming too much coffee too. For this reason, we prefer consuming under 200mg Caffeine per serving, to avoid side effects but benefit from the energy boosts it provides.
