About The Product

Pump Powder is a pre-workout supplement made by Man Sports Nutrition. It costs $38.99 for 30 serving containers, with a choice of 3 flavors - Sour Batch, Dorks, and Blue Bombsicle.

However, at this price, youd expect a product to contain more than 3 main ingredients.

Anyway, well analyze Pump Powders nutrient profile for you in the next section. But first, well tell you more about the company behind it.

Who are Man Sports Nutrition?

Man Sports Nutrition are a supplements company based in the USA. They create a number of products, but there most popular supplements are their pre-workout range.

However, youre here to learn about Pump Powder, so lets see which ingredients are inside this pre-workout below…

Pump Powder Ingredients Explained

Man Sports Nutrition have jumped on the no stimulant bandwagon with Pump Powder, so theres no risk of jitters. But this also means that you wont benefit from any energy boosts from this product either.

Look for sensible dosages of Caffeine Anhydrous for best results

Ultimately, we believe that its worth having Caffeine Anhydrous in sensible dosages; this takes away the problem of side effects, and allows you to feel that kick, which is the main reason for taking pre-workout supplements.

Whats a sensible dosage of Caffeine Anhydrous? We advise that you consume under 200mg per serving with pre-workouts, as this will keep you safe from jitters.

But we do understand why people look for stim-free pre-workouts; in the past, many pre-workouts contained insanely large amounts of caffeine (over 200mg per serving), which is why they caused side effects.

Simply put, make sure pre-workouts contain under 200mg Caffeine per serving, and youll be safe from jitters and energy crashes, while benefitting from increased energy levels - to help you smash your last sets towards the end of your workout.

This product is only focused on Muscle Pumps

We realize that this might be a stupid thing to point out, given that the name of this product is Pump Powder. However, remember that this supplement costs $38.99, so is it really worth paying that price for 1 benefit?

Simply put, you could find pre-workouts at a similar price range that delivers numerous benefits (increased strength, endurance, focus and energy) as well as muscle pumps. So youd get better value for money buying those instead.

Anyway, now that weve given our first opinion of Pump Powder, well take you through each ingredient inside.  By the end of this review, youll know exactly how safe and effective this pre-workout really is.

Heres Everything You Need To Know:

Agmatine Sulfate

Agmatine is a compound found in L-Arginine, and is believed to reduce pain and help treat drug addiction.

However, the problem is that L-Arginine has a poor absorption rate; as a result, anything extracted from L-Arginine has the same issue too.

What does this mean? It basically means that L-Arginine and Agmatine are mostly ineffective when orally consumed.

For this reason, we dont believe that Agmatine Sulfate is a reliable ingredient to add to a pre-workout supplement.

If youre looking to enhance your muscle pumps in the gym, then we recommend Citrulline Malate; this has proven to raise your nitric oxide levels, which leads to this benefit while pumping iron.

Glycerol Monostearate

Considering Man Sports only added 3 main ingredients, Glycerol Monostearate isnt the best addition to Pump Powder here.

Why? Because the main reason its used is as an emulsifier in ice cream and whipped creamed (to help thicken them up).

Ultimately, Man Sports have tried to fool you into thinking this is an important ingredient, when its simply to thicken up the powder in their Pump Powder.

Citrulline Malate

Finally, a useful ingredient. In fact, Citrulline Malate is one of the best ingredients you can find in supplements for the very reason that it actually works.

We mentioned briefly before that Citrulline Malate is able to raise your nitric oxide levels; this leads to your blood flow increasing, allowing more blood into your muscles - giving you that swole look.

Not only does this make you feel invincible, but it also improves your muscular endurance and lowers fatigue too.

However, its important to remember that Citrulline Malate has only shown to work in dosages of 6,000mg. Unfortunately, Man Sports have only added 3,000mg into Pump Powder, meaning its not likely to be effective here.

Ultimately, this is a great example of why you should always check the dosages of ingredients inside supplements - to see if they actually work.

Side Effects

In terms of side effects, Pump Powder doesnt contain any ingredients that are likely to cause any.

One of the best things about this supplement, is that Man Sports havent added any potentially harmful nutrients or proprietary blends. So overall, this seems to be side-effects-free.

Its unfortunate that Man Sports didnt add the optimal 6,000mg dosage of Citrulline Malate here.

Pump Powder Review Conclusion

For a pre-workout supplement only containing 3 main ingredients, Pump Powder is a very overpriced product at $38.99; we simply cant justify this price tag for so little benefits.

The worst part is that Man Sports only added 1 key pre-workout ingredient (Citrulline Malate), and theyve even managed to under-dose this nutrient in Pump Powder…

We would have preferred Man Sports to have added other effective nutrients such as Creatine Monohydrate, and even a sensible dosage of Caffeine to give you that kick during your last sets in the gym.

Ultimately, we understand why companies offer stimulant-free pre-workouts; many have been put-off taking pre-workouts containing caffeine, due to many pre-workouts containing crazy amounts in the past.

However, its important to remember that youll suffer from jittery side effects after consuming too much coffee too. For this reason, we prefer consuming under 200mg Caffeine per serving, to avoid side effects but benefit from the energy boosts it provides.

Man Sports Pump Powder Review

Bottom Line

Pump Powder only contains 3 ingredients, with the most effective nutrient being under-dosed.

For $38.99 or a few extra dollars, you could get a much better product containing more key pre-workout ingredients thatll offer better value for money.
