About The Product
ISO TONE is a fat burner supplement aimed at females, manufactured by Advanced Nutrition Systems (ANS). It costs $44.99 and comes in 45 serving containers, which is pretty good.
From first impressions, we’re not massively impressed. One problem we have is that ISO TONE only offers 2 capsule servings per day; this isn’t ideal, as 3-4 capsules spread throughout the day is known to keep your body fuelled in fat burning mode for longer.
Anyway, we’ll analyze ISO TONE’s nutrient profile for you in the next section. But first, we’ll tell you more about the company behind it.
Who are Advanced Nutrition Systems?
More commonly known as ‘ANS’, this is a USA-based supplements company that offer a range of products. We noticed that ANS’s supps are only sold in GNC and their online store, so we’re not sure whether they’re exclusive to this retailer.
In fact, we couldn’t find a website for Advanced Nutrition Systems, so we started to wonder whether this was one of GNC’s own brands.
But you’re here to learn more about ISO TONE and whether it’ll help you get those toned thighs you’ve always wanted. So let’s see which ingredients are inside below…
ISO TONE Ingredients Explained
One thing we’re happy about, is that ANS haven’t crammed too many ingredients into ISO TONE; it contains 5 ingredients overall, so this gives this fat burner a better chance of containing optimally dosed nutrients.
However, even this is a problem when you find out every ingredient has been added to a proprietary blend (we’ll expand on this below).
PROPRIETARY BLEND WARNING…
Proprietary blends are mixtures of numerous ingredients that’re only shown to you as 1 quantity. As you can see from the ‘Omega Lean Fat Burning Matrix’ on this fat burner’s ingredients list, the overall amount is 1,600mg – but you’re not shown the dosages of each ingredient inside such as Safflower Oil.
This increases your risk of side effects, and also makes it uncertain whether ISO TONE will work. For this reason, we try to avoid any supplement that contains proprietary blends.
Right, you know the main reason why we have a bad first impression of this fat burner. But you’ll be glad to hear that there are some positives, such as ISO TONE containing Fish Oil.
In this section, we’ll take you through each ingredient inside ISO TONE. By the end of this review, you’ll have a good idea of how safe and effective this fat burner really is.
Here’s Everything You Need To Know:
Safflower Oil Extract
You might be wondering why ANS have added a cooking oil to ISO TONE.
Well, this is because Safflower Oil Extract contains high amounts of CLA; this has shown to have slightly positive effects on fat loss, but the issue is that you’re not shown the exact dosage inside this fat burner.
Studies have shown that you need at least 3,200mg for CLA to actually take effect. As there’s only 1,600mg of ingredients inside ISO TONE, it’s impossible for there to be an optimal dosage inside ISO TONE.
Fish Oil
Fish Oil is best known for it’s ability to improve your joint health. However, it’s shown to promote fat loss in higher amounts.
How much do you need? Well, studies show that you need around at least 2g of EPA/DHA daily; as Fish Oil is part of a proprietary blend, you don’t know how much has been added inside.
But as there’s only 1,600mg of ingredients in ISO TONE, it’s also impossible for there to be an effective dosage of Fish Oil here too.
Borage Oil Extract
You’ve probably guessed that ANS have only added oils to ISO TONE by this point. Well, Borage Oil Extract has been added as it contains high amounts of GLA.
But he bad news is that, while GLA can be a great anti-inflammatory, it’s not reliable at helping you lose unwanted body fat. We would have preferred to see something tried-and-tested instead, such as Green Tea Extract.
For this reason, we consider GLA to be an unreliable addition to ISO TONE here.
Flax Oil Extract
Another oil extract…Flax Oil Extract contains a fair amount of ALA, which is another fatty acid.
What does ALA do? Well, it’s believed to help you lose weight, and it’s also been used to treat high blood pressure, diabetes and improve your cardio health too.
However, the bad news is that ALA has shown to be unreliable at promoting fat loss. Again, we’ll repeat that we would have preferred something proven to work, such as Green Tea Extract.
Sesame Seed Oil
Sesame Seed Oil is most commonly used to enhance the flavor of food or as a cooking oil. And this is the first time we’ve seen it added to a fat burner supplement.
So does it work? Well, Sesame Seed Oil contains a compound called sesamin, which is believed to promote fat loss.
But in truth, there haven’t been enough studies proving that it works, to make it reliable. Until we see further evidence, we can’t consider Sesame Seed Oil to be reliable at helping you lose fat.
So in our opinion, Sesame Seed Oil should be kept to being a great addition to stir frys…

Side Effects
The good news is that none of the ingredients in ISO TONE are likely to cause side effects. So we’re happy to consider this fat burner as side-effects-free.
But that doesn’t mean that it’ll help you lose unwanted fat around your hips, thighs or arms…
ISO TONE Review Conclusion
With only 5 ingredients added to ISO TONE, we can’t understand why ANS have hidden them all in a proprietary blend. It would have been much more beneficial for this fat burner, if you were shown the exact amount of each nutrient inside.
Now, we’re not going to make assumptions, but companies would show-off the fact that they spent the cash to optimally dose ingredients if they did (in our honest opinion). Think about it, when brands spend money on things, they almost always make a TV advert about it for good PR.
For this reason, we believe that companies often under-dose nutrients when they add them to proprietary blends (in our honest opinion).
Anyway, the bad news is that we can confirm that nutrient such as Fish Oil and Safflower Oil Extract have been under-dosed here; the proprietary blend only adds up to 1,600mg, with studies showing you need at least 2,000mg of EPA/DHA and 3,200 CLA for them to work.
