Man Sports Block Buster Review - LeanBulking

About The Product

Block Buster is a pre-workout supplement made by Man Sports. It usually costs $39.99 on their website and comes in 30 serving containers.

It’s available in 2 flavors – Apple Juice and Blue Razz.

Who are Man Sports?

Man Sports are a supplemens company that market themselves as new and trendy. We couldn’t find out when they were founded, but they sponsor some athletes such as Ryan Terry and Abby Pollock.

They offer a range of products, from this pre-workout to testosterone boosters.

Block Buster Ingredients Explained

Block Buster contains 8 ingredients overall, which is a good number – it’s not good to have too many ingredients, as all you need are the key pre-workout ingredients in optimal dosages.

However, Block Buster is missing numerous key pre-workout ingredients – such as Creatine Monohydrate and Citrulline Malate. There’s a reason why these 2 nutrients are in the best supplements, because they work! Man Sports Block Buster Ingredients List

Here’s Everything You Need To Know:

AAKG

This hasn’t shown to work in any studies – making it an unreliable ingredient. But it’s believed to support nitric oxide levels (which would enhance muscle pumps).

Beta-Alanine

Beta-Alanine has proven to improve muscular endurance in the gym. However, it’s also shown to cause paresthesia (see side effects section for more info).

Glycerol

Glycerol is believed to enhance muscle pumps in the gym by increasing the water retention in your muscles. But this is all lies.

Creatine Monohydrate also increases water retention, but we don’t consider it’s main benefit to be muscle pumps. If you want muscle pumps, then Citrulline Malate is the best ingredient.

Taurine

This has shown to reduce cramping in the gym. However, it doesn’t offer any other benefits to improve your gym session.

While it doesn’t cause any side effects, we prefer ingredients that improve your strength, endurance and focus in the gym.

Choline

Choline is a useless ingredient, as studies have shown it doesn’t offer any benefits. However, it can cause fishy odors in your breath and sweat.

L-Tyrosine

L-Tyrosine is proven to improve your focus. But it doesn’t offer other benefits to improve your workout – caffeine provides enough boost in focus when dosed correctly, so you don’t really need L-Tyrosine.

We’d have chosen to add Creatine Monohydrate or Citrulline Malate here instead.

Smart-Caffeine Combo (L-Theanine & Caffeine)

The best thing about Block Buster by Man Sports, is that it contains this ‘smart-caffeine’ combo.

It’s proven to boost your focus, strength and endurance in the gym – while keeping you safe from jitters and energy crashes. Basically, L-Theanine enhances the benefits of caffeine, so it’s more effective in lower dosages.

Man Sport claim that their Green Coffee Beans are equal to 176.4mg, which is a great dosage of caffeine. They get a thumbs up for adding this.

Side Effects

One side effect that you might experience when taking Block Buster, is paresthesia – which is a tingling on the skin of your face and body caused by Beta-Alanine.

Choline can also cause fishy odors in your breath and sweat, which might put some people off, but isn’t harmful.

Here’s the potential side effects from taking Block Buster:

  • Paresthesia – tingling on the skin of your face and body (Beta-Alanine)
  • Fishy odors in your breath and sweat (Choline)

Block Buster Review Conclusion

We really like that Man Sports has added in the ‘Smart-Caffeine’ combo in Block Buster. However, that’s the only great thing about this pre-workout.

Choline is one of the worst ingredients in here, as it’s shown to offer no benefits – but can cause fishy odors in your breath and body secretions.

Ultiamtely, Block Buster is missing some of the best pre-workout ingredients available, such as Creatine Monohydrate and Citrulline Malate – if it contained these 2 ingredients as well, we’d have rated this much higher.

There are many better pre-workouts on the market, so we recommend looking at those.
