About The Product

Demon Dust is a pre-workout supplement by Insane Labz. It costs $49.95 for 50 serving containers, which is a lot of servings for one product.

At this point, it’s fair to say that Demon Dust looks like great value for money. However, as always, it’s important to check how safe and effective nutrients inside this pre-workout are.

But first, we’ll tell you more about the company behind it.

Who are Insane Labz?

We’re not sure how long Insane Labz have been around for, but they built a great reputation for themselves in 2017, off the back of a few products.

However, we’ve noticed that the majority of their supplements haven’t been formulated very well. For this reason, we’re just hoping that this isn’t the issue with Demon Dust.

To find out, we’ll analyze Demon Dust’s nutrient profile in the section below…

Demon Dust Ingredients Explained

There are 5 main ingredients inside Demon Dust, which is a good number to have in a supplement; we don’t like it when companies fill their products with over 10 nutrients, as this usually forces them to under-dose ingredients.

However, one big problem is that Insane Labz have added every ingredient inside a proprietary blend (we’ll expand on this below).

PROPRIETARY BLEND WARNING…

Proprietary blends are mixtures of numerous ingredients that’re only shown to you as 1 quantity. As you can see from the ‘Demon Dust Blend’ on Demon Dust fat burner’s ingredient list, the overall amount is 770mg – but you’re not shown the dosages of each ingredient inside such as Caffeine.

This increases your risk of side effects, and also makes it uncertain whether this pre-workout will work. For this reason, we try to avoid any supplement that contains proprietary blends.

Anyway, now that you know why we don’t like proprietary blends, we’ll take you through each ingredient inside Demon Dust. By the end of this review, you’ll know exactly how safe and effective this pre-workout really is.

Here’s Everything You Need To Know:

Beta-Alanine

Beta-Alanine is a very controversial compound, because it’s proven to cause a side effect called ‘paresthesia; this is an itching and tingling on your skin.

However, some people don’t mind tolerating this side effect, as Beta-Alanine has also shown to enhance your muscular endurance in the gym.

Ultimately, it’s up to personal preference whether you’re prepared to tolerate tingly & itchy skin during your workout. But personally, we try to avoid Beta-Alanine, as Creatine Monohydrate offers the same benefit without causing side effects.

Caffeine Anhydrous

Caffeine Anhydrous is the best stimulant you can find in supplements; it’s the purest form of caffeine, as it’s literally caffeine that’s been dehydrated into powder form.

However, while it can be very beneficial, it can also be potentially harmful when consumed in unknown amounts (such as in proprietary blends).

If you’ve ever consumed too much coffee before, you’ll know that Caffeine Anhydrous can cause jittery side effects. For this reason, we always advise that you consume under 200mg Caffeine per serving in pre-workouts.

Ultimately, as Caffeine is inside a proprietary blend, you don’t know the exact dosage inside Demon Dust. This means that you’re at risk from suffering jitters and energy crashes (which will ruin your gym sessions).

Highest-Rated-Pre-Workouts-This-Year

Higenamine HCL

Higenamine is most commonly used to help reduce symptoms of asthma, but it’s also believed to operate as a fat burner too.

However, there haven’t been many studies to prove that Higenamine HCL actually works. So we’re not convinced that it does.

For this reason, we consider Higenamine is an unreliable ingredient inside Demon Dust.

Choline Bitartrate

Choline Bitartrate is one of the ingredients we always try to avoid; it’s not proven to deliver any benefits, but has shown to cause your breath and sweat to smell fishy.

For this reason, Choline Bitratrate is a useless ingredient that won’t help improve your workout.

Hordenine HCL

Hordenine HCL is a compound that’s believed to promote fat loss. But this isn’t even a benefit you need in a pre-workout – a fat burner supplement is much better if fat loss is your main goal.

Ultimately, all you need to know is that Hordinine is another ineffective nutrient inside Demon Dust.

Side Effects

There are 3 things that can cause side effects; Beta-Alanine, Choline and Caffeine in a proprietary blend.

In quick summary, Beta-Alanine can cause itchy and tingly skin, Choline can cause your breath and sweat to smell fishy and consuming unknown quantities of Caffeine puts you at risk from jittery side effects.

Here’s the potential side effects from taking Demon Dust:

  • Itchy and Tingly Skin (Beta-Alanine)
  • Fishy breath and sweat (Choline)
  • Jitters and Energy Crashes (Unknown dosage of Caffeine)

Demon Dust Review Conclusion

One thing you should have learned today, is the negatives of having proprietary blends in supplements; not knowing the exact dosage of ingredients you consume puts you at risk from side effects – especially if there are stimulants inside.

But don’t think that proprietary blends without stimulants is safe; if you don’t know the exact dosage of nutrients, you can’t see how effective they are (meaning you risk buying a useless product).

For this reason, we always advise that you avoid supplements containing proprietary blends.
