Beta-Alanine’s shown to improve muscular endurance. But there’s a problem – it can also cause paresthesia.

This ingredient can reduce cramping, but offers no other benefit to directly improve your workout.

We prefer nutrients that enhance your strength, endurance and focus – but Taurine doesn’t cause any side effects, so there’s nothing bad about having it in here.

Agmatine Sulfate 

This is a byproduct of Arginine and is believed to improve sporting performance and focus.

However, this ingredient hasn’t shown to work in any studies – meaning it’s unreliable.


Caffeine is usually one of our favorite pre-workout ingredients when it’s dosed correctly (under 200mg). 

However, Enrage Extreme contains 350mg per serving – which is HUGE, as you’re only supposed to consume 400mg per day.

Ultimately, this means you’re likely to suffer from energy crashes and jitters. For this reason, we recommend consuming between 150-200mg in pre-workouts to experience benefits without side effects.


Also known as DMHA, this is believed to promote fat loss – but this isn’t a direct benefit of taking a pre-workout.

Not only that, DMHA’s banned in competitive sports; so athletes should be staying away from this.

N-Methyltyramine Hydrochloride 

This is believed to decrease blood sugar levels, which might help your testosterone levels – but won’t do much for your

N-Phenethyl Dimethylamine

Also known as ‘Eria Jarensis Extract’, this ingredient is believed to improve your focus in the gym. However, it’s not proven to work in any studies conducted – making it unreliable.


Hordenine is thought to promote fat loss, but it’s not been proven to work in any studies. Not only that, fat loss isn’t a direct benefit of a pre-workout – so it’s not really needed in Enrage Extreme.

Side Effects 

The two main concern with Enrage Extreme by eFlow Nutrition, is the HUGE dosage of caffeine – which can cause jitters and energy crashes.

Beta-Alanine can also cause paresthesia, which is a tingling on the skin of your face and body; this is very subjective, as some can’t put up with it, while others don’t mind it.

Competitive athletes should be staying away from DMHA, as it’s banned in competitive sports – especially if you’re a soccer player (Mamadou Sakho was banned while playing for Liverpool FC because of DMHA).

Here’s the potential side effects from taking Enrage Extreme: 

  • Jitters (HUGE 350mg dosage of caffeine)
  • Energy Crashes (HUGE 350mg dosage of caffeine)
  • Paresthesia – tingling on the skin of your face, chest, hands, fingertips and toes (Beta-Alanine).

This is a pretty extreme pre-workout – it contains a HUGE dosage of caffeine (350mg per serving) which will cause jitters and energy crashes to those sensitive to it. This dosage is like drinking 3-4 black coffees at once!

To avoid jitters and energy crashes, we recommend only consuming between 150-200mg of caffeine per serving – so you get the most of out it, while staying safe from side effects.

Not only that, you shouldn’t consume any ingredients that’re banned anywhere – DMHA is banned in competitive sports, and as we don’t like cutting out the high-level athletes out there, we can’t recommend any products that might get you into trouble.

There are at least 3 better pre-workout supplements than Enrage Extreme available – which don’t contain any banned ingredients, and have much better dosages and ingredients than this one.
